Travel information

1. Clothes and footwear

Weather in Slovenia could be cold and rainy in April. We recommend that you check weather forecast , but generally warm clothes and something that protect you against the rain is recommended. Good hiking shoes are necessary.

2. Currency in Slovenia

Slovene money is EURO. If you don't have Euros you can change money at many locations including airport, banks, exchange offices... We recomend that you change money at the airport. You can always check this on the official site of exchange rates at Ljubljanska banka.

3. Visas and passports

Slovenia is a Schengen member, that means that EU citizens can travel to Slovenia without any restrictions, however we recommend that you still have a valid identification card with you (or any kind of personal document with picture e.g. driving license). Non-schengen travelers should have a valid passport. Anyone who is required to have a visa to enter Slovenia may obtain one at the Slovenian representatives in their country.
